wilder roots women's retreat
october 26th-28th 2018
Join us for a weekend of ritual, Qoya and art this fall.
This retreat is an opportunity to slow down with pleasure, reconnect to your rootedness, and embody gratitude as we prepare for winter.
at Moon Gate Guest House in Whitemouth, MB.
Beginning on Friday at 6:30pm with a nourishing meal and an opening ceremony, the weekend will flow with movement, rest and creativity till we depart on Sunday after lunch.
Moon Gate Guest House is located on the Whitemouth River just an hour from Winnipeg. The Guest House focuses on eco-friendly design and has no wifi and limited reception*, so we can create space to just be.
Artist, Joanie Peters, will be joining us to share an art workshop to support us on our journey of slowing down and remembering. Learn more about her below!

I received my Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1986 but don’t let that fun fact fool you. I didn’t belong in art school. Even then I was interested in the way I was shaped by the experience of art making rather than the finished work. A few years ago I finished the Prairie Jubilee Program for training in the practice of spiritual formation and spiritual direction and along side that my art practice which had long laid dormant returned. A new relationship with art has been forged and formed and I look forward to sharing that with you.
Making art is a way of r e s p o n d i n g to life,
a way of d a n c i n g with our human experience,
a way of saying yes to b e l o n g i n g.
*if needed you can always pop into town if you need to contact anyone, but I encourage all of us to take the time to disconnect to reconnect!
(open to women, and those that identify as women)
cancellation policy: cancellations made within 7 days of the retreat start will not be refunded.
